Long ago many fire dragons ruled the earth. One fateful day a huricane struck the main island they lived on, most adults escaped the gushing waters, however some refused to leave they're nests with hatchlings or eggs. The ones who survived we're forced to fly over the now called Pacific Ocean, where a enourmous thunderstorm was raging on, some of them flew around it however. One by one the dragons we're pushed down to the dark depths, some washed up on shallow water unconcous. Others we're traped in the water and could only take short breaths when needed. Some who we're washed up on shallow water we're struck by lightning, creating the lightning dragons. For the others the water raised and they became covered with the earth, the water lowered again and only a small tube was there for them to breath. When it was uncovered from water it awoke them. The tremendous pressure caused they're wings to be crushed. They crawled out of the dirt with they're claws and at the surface some fell down the cliff, being in huge amounts of pain in the water they died, however most lived. This created the earth dragons. For the ones who lived in the water they learned and evolved to hold they're breaths for extremly long periods of time, they also evolved to have a air sac on each cheek. They lost they're back legs only to be replaced by a mermaid-like tail. This created the water dragons.
